Greetings! I’m Nina, an experienced BC certified educator and dedicated Orton-Gillingham Practitioner Associate with a passion for guiding learners of all ages to overcome challenges and thrive in their literacy journey. I have over twenty years of teaching experience at the elementary level including working with children with special needs. My education and certification include a Bachelor of Education, Special Education Post Degree Diploma (Certified in Level B Assessment), and a certified member of OG Canada. 
 
With a desire for personalized instruction and a background rooted in this evidence-based approach, I’m here to guide and empower learners toward reading and writing success. My journey in education has led me through various avenues and I’ve had the privilege of working with learners of varying exceptionalities, cultivating a deep understanding of individualized learning needs.
 
Every student is a unique puzzle, and I’m passionate about finding the pieces that fit just right for them. Through engaging activities, interactive techniques, and a patient approach, I foster an environment where students not only learn but also develop a renewed enthusiasm for learning. Together, we build a solid foundation in language skills that extends beyond the classroom, positively influencing their academic and personal lives.
